Andrew is a multi-award-winning mastering and restoration engineer, producer, and composer with over 35 years’ experience at Abbey Road Studios and now works freelance for Abbey Road and other clients from his farm in Norfolk.
A pioneer of digital audio restoration and an early developer of CEDAR technology, Andrew has worked across every recording format and genre, from classical and film to jazz and pop. His credits include The Beatles, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, U2, Coldplay, Radiohead, and The Who. Film projects include The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Atonement (Academy Award winner), and V for Vendetta.
A world expert in MASTERING & RESTORATION, he has received multiple awards including winning four Gramophone Awards and receiving two GRAMMY nominations. An expert in forensic restoration, Andrew lectures internationally and serves as a Director of Music Preserved, the archive of rare and historic recordings.
